Combining all your Internet Messengers into One
Tired of having some friends that use aim, some that use MSN, and some that use one of about 5 other browsers? Do you have 5 separate messengers open on your computer at the same time just trying to keep in touch with everyone? Well a great little piece of software to download is called Pidgin. It was formally called Gaim, but it was too close to AIM for AOL's liking so now they are Pidgin. The nice thing about this software is it allows you to set up all your messengers in one window, one list of buddies and friends no matter what messenger they're using. One chat window up with tabs for all your friends in that tab whether they are using AIM, Yahoo, MSN, etc. You also have the file sharing abilities of the messengers, the ability to log conversations, and even VOIP. Its great software and its free. You can download it at http://www.pidgin.im/. Also, if your interested in computer hardware check out www.broketech.com. |
